Interesting, but I wish I knew who was telling the truth!

Also read Michael Crichton's "State of Fear"
Although a novel, it includes many references to real scientific works that argue against the global warming evangalists.
Thanks for the link to the Telegraph article - it's always interesting to see an opposing argument.

Someone has to be lying as so many FACTS are stated which directly contradict each other.

All I want is some plain indisputable FACTS which are facts ...

I wonder if Roberson could comment? I seem to recall that this is a subject he knows something about.

Last week Blair was playing his famous acting role, warning about "doom and gloom" for the future of the planet and the literally immediate need for the UK to play a giant role in order to curb "climate change/global warming".

Yet this same government has been making plans for some time to cope with the increasing amount of air travel over the next 10-15 years, allowed the building of a new airport in south Yorkshire and had ambitious plans to spend billions of pounds building yet another airport for London to the east of the capital despite having to drain vast areas of boggy ground.

As with its motoring strategy, the stench of hypocrisy is overpowering.

All this global warming nonsense has too much of a religeous fervour for my liking. The damnation we will suffer is to come "Sometime in the future", we are constantly fed the moral blackmail about how we are going to kill our grandchildren, and told it is our moral duty to nearly bankrupt ourselves trying to run a car so we can "Save the planet".

Anyone who dares disagree is denounced as a lunatic.

As and when they literally tax us off the road, make all minor roads cycle lanes and campaign for a return to horse and cart, I wont be buying this ' we want to save the planet' bit.

the sunday-telegraph link given by robib reliant leads to an article by christopher monckton, former adviser to margaret thatcher.

is he not the same man who in 1999 invented "the eternity puzzle" with a one-million pound prize.
it was " estimated that a normal household computer going through every single possible combination would need 130 million billion years to solve the problem".

apparently, in less than one year, the first solution to the puzzle " was found by Alex Selby and Oliver Riordan on May 15, 2000."

prediction 130 million billion years, reality one year.
