After top up oil, Shell petrol garage does'nt do it, I need the 5/30w semi.
Not found anywhere on the net where I can buy Shell stuff in general which is odd.
Thanks.

All the Shell ones around here do.
Or get the 5w30 from vauxhall, as this is supposed to be Shell.

Try a good motor factors - most are happy to sell to the general public and, in most cases, at the trade price.

Use any 5w/30 semi-there'll be no difference.

You can get Shell oil from "Linings and Hoses". They have a branch at Ashbourne and Wirksworth, I think that the website is liningsandhoses.co.uk
I recently bought a 205 litre barrel of Rimula Super 15W/40 SF/CI E5 oil for my tractors from them for £230 + vat, a bit cheaper than the litre of Magnatec 10W/40 at £10 a friend recently got. I wish I could put this oil in my Passat and Focus, but I daren't, or could I?

Providing it meets the required VW and Ford specifications why not? It's been purchased legally.

Rimula is a very high detergent oil designed for large relatively slow running diesels.I used to use a fill of this or Rotella whenever I bought a "new" secondhand car to flush the engine out in the days before car oils had detergent in.
