This could be interesting how much the local garage made in that period of time!
Isn't there a silimar thing happening on the M1 near Midlands airport that is causing interference with car's electronics?

Howcome nobody noticed that it was 'out of alignment'? Aim is pretty crucial to the operation of radar sets, so the fact that it wasn't spotted for several months doesn't inspire much confidence in our preparedness for whatever it's supposed to be warning us about!

I love the typical MOD response when confronted with evidence that the problem still exists, i.e. flat denial - until the evidence becomes overwhelming, presumably.

I meant to add that there's a bit more on the story here:

"By the time she reached the local garage, "the electric windows and indicators had also failed". She then had to shell out £300 for a new main fuse box, and admitted she was "frightened to turn off the ignition in case the car packed in all together".

He he he money, money, beautiful money! thought the garage!

It's Russia's fault. The radar got a regular testing when they used send bombers out to test our response. "Bears" weren't they? Then you got to see Lightnings from the playground.
