A colleague has recently taken delivery of a new C4 'Cool' special edition. I saw him and the car today for the first time and asked him how he was getting on. Car is excellent but has one flaw.
The car has the speedo and other info on a central binnacle, it also has a height adjustable seat. When he sets the seat so he is comfortable the angle between his eyes and the speedo binnacle means the binnacle shroud obscures the top of the LCD speedo readout. If he sets the seat to its maximum height he can only see the bottom quarter of the speed readout, for his purposes the height adjustable seat is virtually useless as he can only use it over less than half of it's travel if he wants to see how fast he's going. He's of average height too so it could affect other purchasers.

Is it a coupe or a 5dr? Our Coupe doesn't have this problem, but then I'm 6'2" and SWMBO 5'11" can't think how the display would be obscured.

Can't understand what the OP is on about unless it was a coupe and the coupe is very different from the saloon. I too am of average size and I thought everything in the C4 saloon I drove very clear, especially the speed readout on the top centre of the dashboard which must be legible from three cars behind in traffic. .. but perhaps different trim levels have different displays.
RV mirror quite intrusive in the windscreen though.

No problems with my C4 coupe in terms of visibility - though i am only 5'7" :( Cant really see how height would make much difference

Its a five door. Best description is the binnacle is like a peak on a cap, I presume to reduce glare. If someone is wearing a baseball cap and you raise your seating position in relation to them, at some point you won't see their eyes. This is the effect he encountered.
