MAN to drop hostile bid for Scania
The Financial Times reports that German truck maker MAN will drop its hostile bid for Swedish rival Scania. The change of plan comes to help three-way talks between the two and Volkswagen, which has big shareholdings in each firm The FT says it expects Scania will say that it too is willing to talk and that the outcome may be a new firm encompassing the assets of all three groups.
