Volvo mounted a heartbeat sensor that warns if someone is hiding inside the car. Any idea where it actually might be located ? Sounds like space-ace technology...

If he can get in the car and hide, he can probably disable the heartbeat scanner.
This must be the most useless car feature.

Seems useless to me as well. Never heard of any case where someone has been mugged/attacked/car-jacked in this manner. And, surely, if the thief has got into the car, he's broken the window or done something to set off the alarm?

Because you can't always tell from the way it's being driven, I agree. 'Zombie O Zombie'.

Are they not there to check on the condition of the motorcyclist that has been knocked off ;o)

To warn the driver if he is getting dangerously tired perhaps?

Is it really possible to detect a heartbeat from a distance, without actually touching one's chest ?

Yep. In one episode of Star Trek they had some baddies on the ship and needed to find them.

They detected their heartbeats and then BANG! Shot them.

Good guys: 1 - Baddies with weird gooey blood: 0.

And yet they opened that locker and 14 million Tribbles fell out. Weird, isn't it?

Crazy. Sometimes I think they did it just to put on a good show.

Say it ain't so! I thought it was factual programming.

I just did... The trick is to use multiple hearts so the sensor gets stupid. And voila... open sesame ;)

It would be so satisfying to discover that whoever took that picture had to go off and answer the phone or something and forgot about the chocolate that he scattered all over his new car, parked in the sun. :)

I took the photo all by myself, used some old chocolate. I love such controversial stuff so we can all laugh from car manufacturers.
