First of all I know the answer is Yes but what I want to know is, will they work afterwards?
I have silver BMW316 and Im looking to paint the door and bumper mouldings to match the colour of the car. The only problem is the rear bumber moulding has the 4 black PDC senors fitted. I dont imagine a few coats of primer and paint will do them any good?

Aftermarket sensors usually come with instructions regarding painting so it's probably ok. Why not ask a BMW dealer if it's advisable.

Ultrasound travels through paint ok but it may reduce the sensitivity of the sensors slightly. If your kit gives distance readings then what you need to do is re-measure or check the distances and if there is any difference (should be negligible) then compensate accordingly when parking.

Painted the sensors on two cars - both worked fine. Used spray primer followed by two coats of the car colour.

Thanks for the replys.
I contacted BMW and they were a bit vague as to what effect the paint would have on the sensors but were gladly willing to sell me new colour coded ones.
I think I'll give it a go anyway.
Thanks again

I have done them before, just use the minimum amount of paint required to colour them.
