... you know you're going to have to tell us why before you get an answer ( : ....

Don't worry - I'm not deciding to do a Harlequin version of my car (like that hideous Polo they made).
I wish I had a more interesting explanation but a mate of my Dad's needs one and I said I'd ask here.

Now this is radical. Have you considered ( whisper ) A Ford dealer? Apparently ( and I can confirm this ) they have
something called a parts department?

In a world where you're on first name terms with your VW parts manager because something else fell off and he can give you mates rates then a parts department may be good.
However, back in the real world, when you're being asked over 100 quid for one wing mirror WITHOUT any indicators or anything fancy like that, they're not.

Remoco of Stockport (should be local enough for Adam) are good for new and used ford bits-
www.ford-spares.com or 0161-477-1415.

Thanks Rover - I'll pass that on.

Worrying, isn't it?
Don't worry - something bad will happen today to balance it all out. I can't for one minute believe this gift you've bestowed on me will last.

Wing Mirror ? Had some of them on a Moggie 1000 about 200 years ago !
|
The dealer will sell you one in primer. You then pay to have it sprayed.
|
He got one from that place Rover25 suggested for around 30 quid apparently. Because the coloured part is interchangable, he just swapped that over and hey presto, he has a new wing mirrir...door mirror - whatever(!) again!
Thanks very much for all the help,
Adam
