Yes, it's finally happened. All the nagging, badgering, and constant grovelling from this person to have their very own edit button has worn us down. We waved the white flags and surrendered!
Joking apart, with Hugo's recent resignation, meant that the three musketeers were down to two. So someone volunteering their services to help us in our hour of need couldn't have come any sooner. That's not to say we were desperate (no really); they just so happened to offer their services at the right moment in time.
Moderating elsewhere, their experience will be gladly welcomed by Geoff, HJ and myself, (although not by some others I imagine?), and I'm quite sure it won't take long to put their new buttons (yes, more than one) to good use.
Enough of my waffle. Fellow backroomers, you're about to witness a moment in history with the Backroom having its first female moderator.
I'm sure you'll join me in giving a warm and rapturous welcome to Pologirl who has now moved over to the dark side.

Glad to be able to give something back to the forum that has given me so much over the past three years - advice when asked for, advice when not asked for, patronising comments, abuse... just kidding!
This place also gave me two internet dads for a while (Mark and NoDosh) , who were both mods at the time I arrived here and helped me out of many a tight spot with words of wisdom, goats carved out of vegetables and footwarmers (at least that's what I called it) in the post. I'll never forget the Christmas when I had just graduated but failed to find a job, Polo failed his MOT and it felt like *everything* was going wrong. The kind words from many people here proved that although this is words on a page, there is still community, and that's what I've volunteered to look after.
I fear I may be in danger of going a bit Pollyanna again, so I'll shut up and go and play with the buttons!
