Yes theres a chap on here called BazzaBear (i think) who has one. They look pretty good and the turbo'd versions go well with the pick of the bunch being the late Limited Edition and Plus models.

No, but I did crash into the back of one. The coach-built body is not cheap to repair.

I had a 20v turbo about 4 years ago, 220bhp, accelerated like Concorde and great fun.... I still like the look of them.

That was freaky, I was just extolling it's virtues in another thread!
I have a 20V Turbo [6]. The [6] denotes that it is a very late version which grabbed quite a few parts from the PLUS. This means it has the 6 speed gearbox, the PLUS alloys and the Recaro leather seats.
In my opinion it's a better buy than the PLUS for a few reasons. Firstly it's a lot cheaper, and secondly it's better for the PLUS parts it doesn't have. Plus has red painted brake callipers, on the [6] they're silver, and look far classier. PLUS has some 'titatium' parts, including surrounds on the rear lights, which have never looked particluarly good to me, and (if I'm remembering correctly) the PLUS has red and black seats while the [6]'s are plain black, and again classier for it.
That's all down to taste though, and either way you'll be getting a fantastic performance car at a cost that pretty much nothing similar can match. Check out www.fccuk.org (both for the buying guide and potential purchases) go in with your eyes open, and there's no reason for you to get the unreliable rustbucket that the people who've never owned one will claim it is to. I've had mine for 18 months now, and had no problems.

Looks like I might have got myself mixed up. I think it's the LE not the PLUS with red seats and titanium trim.

Went to look at it late last night when the garage was closed.
Returned this afternoon and it has been sold :-(

I`ve owned one for the last six years and can recommend them.They look fantastic,and the turbo ones go like the proverbial off a shovel. Like all Fiats,the main weakness is the rubbish Fiat agents. Get as recent a model as you can afford.Fiat stopped making them in 2000/2001so the youngest ones are going to be about six.
As for servicing,take to a specialist like Iceberg in the midlands,or Powerfiat in the south.
As someone once said about them "owning a Fiat Coupe is like owning a thoroughbred- you will hate the bills,but when you ride it you`ll forgive it everything"

A friend has owned one for quite a few years and also has no intention of selling; she loves it. I must admit, from disliking the heavily swaged lines at launch it's grown on me, and ghastly metal painted strip across the dashboard aside - in trying to be different it cheapens the whole interior for me - it looks super. The blisters in the headlight covers are a very nice touch. I've never driven it, but she rates it, and also says it is reliable if pricey to run. Servicing is via a Fiat Coupe specialist in High Wycombe, Bucks.

Oh, and the headlight covers are rumoured to be modelled on Mrs Bangles bottom, although if they are, she has a strangely lob-sided bum.

I think the metal strip across the dash is very smart. Give the Italians their due,it`s styling is superb-even if they had some American help. Nothing new there!
I love everything about the car,in fact it`s the only car i`ve kept for so long and I have no desire to change it. Looked after properly it can stand up to and even shock more up-to-date coupes.
Cam-belt can be changed for £400-£500,but not by Fiat,who still want £1200.
