I recently saw an old 1970s style VW camper van on a 54 plate. Are they still being made somewhere?
Thanks

I've just found the answer:
Made in Brazil by the looks of it

They are made in Mexico. One of my customers fit's stainless steel exhaust systems to them when they come over. I think they are imported by Danbury caravans.

Sorry, my customer told me they are built in Mexico!! Not cheap are they?

Hmmm... I can't decide whether I like them or not.
The basic price looks quite good compared to other new campervans but the extras are pricey
Lowered suspension £1499.00
Shouldn't that be something you do yourself ? :-)
They don't seem to quite have the same character as the originals.

The build quality is reported to be poor, with low quality steel being used.

Hmmm. If the quality of the reproduction chrome from Brazil that you can get for Beetles is anything to go by, I'd steer clear of a Brazilian made camper.
£18,000 would buy a well sorted classic camper, with money left over for a nice Beetle as well!
