Was just browsing through a Merc magazine in WH SMiths.
happened to notice some dealers advertising M and N reg E300D estates about 100K miles - they were asking £8500 !!!
Why would anyone pay that kind of money for one of those ??
Might be a good car but surely that is nearly 3 times the true value of hte car ?
PEtrol engined version would surely be selling for well under 1/2 or even 1/3 of that price ?
Will anyone buy these - who and why ?

The "True Value" is what people will pay for these cars, market forces and all that!

Prob the last of the real Mercs so sought after for that reason alone, add in that it is both diesel and estate, with low mileage for a big Merc, while the price is cheeky, I think someone who wanted one would pay around that money, although remember, there is usually haggling to be done.

Much sought after and not so many come up for sale because deeply satisfied owners hang on to them for ever. I know someone who would be prepared to go to that level for a good 'un. You can find out more at www.w124.co.uk.

Really good W124 convertibles fetch up to Euro 30k here in Germany. Go figure.
