M4 Swindon to A34 junction

M4 Swindon to A34 junction - cottontop
Hi all,

Whats this stretch (eastbound) like between 6 and 7.30am on a weekday morning...is it as bad as people make out ??

Tell us all what day you're travelling and we can all avoid it if you're going to hold us all up by taking 90 mins to cover the 15 miles ;-). Seriously though I cross over J15 at Swindon every morning about 8.00 and its usually fine. However it is vulnerable to accidents and low sun in the morning (although not at the times you quote at this time of year). Worth noting that its liable to have speed camera vans operating.

I often do this stretch at 8.30am ish, usually with no problem - it's the A34 to Reading (J13-J11) section that often gets clogged up.
