1998 Fiesta Washer Pump Location?

Hi All,

Could anyone tell me where the washer pump is located on a '98 Fiesta? Also, what's the best method of removal?

I have a 1997 Fiesta, most washer water pumps are at the bottom of the reserviour. Which I believe is located under the radiator water top up tank (LHS top half of engine bay in a 1.25i LX, when looking at it after opening the bonnet). Alternatively follow the plastic tube from the washers and see where they go....it does look like you need to approach it from underneath rather than on top with this model of Fiesta.

Anyway I'll see if I can find mine tonight....Normally removal is by undoing a couple of screws , disconnected tubes and pulling on most cars....Hopefully someone out there with a Mk4 Fiesta Haynes manual to hand might be able to give you some detailed advice in the meantime...

My father in law replaced this on his other daughters P reg fiesta. had to remove the front offside wheel and get at it from the bottom, Hope thats some help.

Why do you wish to access it?

If it has just stopped working you may find it is only blocked with a gooey sludge that accumulates from mixing different screenwash formulations.

I cleared mine in a 96 fiesta using air from (I think) a footpump connected to the pipework to the washers.

Worth a try.
