I'm sure there are HJ'ers who can recommend insurance companies offering mini cab insurance quotations.
I'm currently with Zurich, they won't do it.

Hi - if you really mean minicab insurance ie London based unlicensed hire and reward use then Tradex is about the only place to go.
If you are licensed by the local authority or Public Carriage Office then try Westminster Motor Insurance who cover nothing but taxis and private hire cars.
Neither company will be cheap but this is because you have no previous record with hire and reward.

last time i checked out taxi insurance (baring in mind we are talking 24/7 conditions with engines never going cold) it was for peanuts i would just ask mr google and see what he says?

I use Coversure 0870 458 5675 fo private hire insurance, the can also do chauffeur and presumably taxi.
I don't doubt you know that there is a difference between taxi, minicab (private hire) etc.

Pertaining to taxi's ,when phoning to book a local taxi today was told she had given up her licence as the issuing authority was insisting on vehicles not being over 3years old,seems a bit hard for a one man band as tthe mileage will be much lower than a vehicle which could have more than one driver to maximise use.
