Corsa door swap. - aahbarnes
I've reversed into a friends corsa and crunched the door! I've found a good used door for £40 in the right colour, but am wondering how much bother it is to swap the doors.

Do I have to remove the door pins on this model (1998 vintage) or are they bolted? Will the other door fit properly or will it need lining up and adjustment?

Would I be better just paying a bodyshop to sort this & save the hassle?

its a 15 minute job and the new door will line straight up if the door pins arent bent (very unlikely)

you do need a door pin removal tool though unique for this car its literally a thin nut and bolt that drops through the rolled door pin and is then hammered out

brown brother (motor factors) do this tool in their "bodyline " range at £15 all in.

dont forget to swap the door lock over before you junk the door (ive forgotten to do this before now)
