A friend of mine has a 3 door golf mk3 gti and the passenger footwell floor is wet and he cant find out where from. He has checked all obvious places but to no luck.
anyone have any ideas to what it could be? similar probs?

Wets all the time, or aonly after rain?
The doors have a plastic membrane glued on, and the glue goes. Take off the door trim and you will see it. Re-glue using contact adhesive I'd guess.
If it's wet what ever the weather, could it be cooling fluid from a leaky matrix? Should small sweet, and be greenish. Use a bit of kitchen paper to mop it up, and have a sniff!

is this another leaking pollen filter housing ?
Or was the mk3 OK.
does it have a sunroof?
