After replacing the battey on a 1997 C Class the electric windows operate jerky and slowly.
Does anyone know how they can be reset please to correct operation please?

Does it have infrared opening (via the key) on the drivers door handle?
If so, point the key at the handle and open all the windows, then close them again.
If your car pre-dates this system, then try opening all the windows and keep holding the buttons for an extra 5 secs.
