A rumination on abandoned cars - Thommo
Now we all know the price of older cars has dropped through the floor.

But outside the front door of Tescos Guildford is an abandoned blue Fiat Punto S. M registered it has good tyres (please note good not just legal) a good exhaust clean body with no signs of rust and all round looks in fair nick. Certainly a world better than the MK1 Escort which was my first car.

Tagged as a abandoned and no doubt soon to be removed. Is the market for such cars now so low that its not worth trying even to get say £100 for such a vehicle?

I walked there at lunchtime and didn't see it. Worry observation!

Worrying observation. Oh, the irony.

The joys of The School of Management at University of Surrey.

Telling [swear filter hits boost about here] students things that are already written in a manual, and putting paper in printers.

Whilst using the vast amounts of free time to learn Linux, administer my home server, and post rubbish on internet forums... :^D

Turn the question around: Is it worth the hassle to get the notional £100? Time is money, different people value theirs at different rates.

How could it be worth that little, unless it had just broken its cambelt or something?

A Punto of that age probably has HGF - my guess is that it's gone a few times before, and the owner know that the head won't take another skim. Probably not worth a transplant.

Given Miss's occupation I should point out that whilst the tax disc had been removed a UoS car park ticket was visible through the windscreen...

Just to clear things up...I'm a bloke.

Maybe the owner ran out of fuel as it can happen with any car, walked the rest of the way home & suffered from a bout of amnesia, it can happen!!

Its not what you drive, its how you drive it! :-)
