Just realised that the Porkers RFL is due 1st May & more importantly haven't had a reminder. It seems from some of the other forums I'm on that this is happening more often, so make sure you keep a note of when it's due as other wise you'll be fined. Just done it on line although system was down last night, "for essential maintenance", sounds like we need to design them some none stop computing!
They wouldn't want you to forget so they get your fine money.... would they

DVLA always give you a reminder. It's on the disc attached to your windscreen, in numbers 12 mm high for the day and the year and 18 mm high for the month.

Yup quite agree Mr. Snail but I also A. used to get the standard reminder through the post, so expect one & B. I have one car on continuous SORN so if they don't remind me for that, then the round disk on the windscreen is no help!
Also just been sick in bed for over a week & looking at the screen of the car wasn't high on my priority list!

tr7v8 - since you have access to a computer, you do know thatyou can use "calendar" functions to set various reminders for all kind of anniversaries, including sorn & rfl.
failing that, most mobile phones have a calendar facility that does the same.

My wife's reminder didn't have the renew online option either, presumably because it was produced before the MOT was passed, but it was still possible to renew online using the 11-digit number from the V5C. See the 'Can I use this service? ' at direct.gov.uk/Diol1/DoItOnline/MotoringCategory/fs...T

SWMBO's Zafira reminder didn't have anything in the yellow box for renewing online, but I still renwed online using one of the numbers on the V5.
