Just seen an LHD demo our local dealer has in to tout business for July's RHD release. The word that springs to mind is "Presence". Alright, it's a Chelsea Tractor, but it's very well proportioned. They obviously haven't gone for the ground clearance of the Cayenne/Touareg, but it makes for a (for road use) more businesslike looking package.

There was an US based road test of this a couple of weeks ago on Fifth Gear, Serious looking bit of kit. Left me wondering what the Q stood for, the only thing was I cold think of was "Question" really as it what's it for ?
|
It's Q7, isn't it?
I was put off by the fact they David Beckham's just been *given* one! (and he demanded £20K's worth of options).
|
Well that's put me off, I'll keep the Defender. (as in Land Rover not association football)

Audi's new SUV thingy is called a Q7.
I saw on on the road the other day and yes, as you say it has real presence. If Audi's other recent offerings like the new A8, A6, A4 etc. are anything to go by it will be a well built quality package.

I agree - especially inside - I think Audi still rule the roost when it comes to the design of the inside of a car.

I saw one on foreign plates in Liverpool last week. It looks much better in the metal than the photographs I've seen. It certainly does have presence and I'm sure it'll snatch sales from the Range Rover, X5, ML, XC90 etc.

..there sure is a heck of a lot of choice in that sector now, and all the time the tide is turning away from such vehicles.
