What car gets in the way? - Mutton Geoff
Following on from the "What's at the head of the queue?" thread, I wondered if other BR'ers had the same experiences as I do. It seems that almost every time a car gets in your way, blocks an exit, double parked, wrong lane trying to push back in, etc, in my experience it's almost invariably a Volvo estate.

Take a look next time, it's probably the same car at the head of that queue!

Volvos are still bad, but a lot of BMWs are too these days. Hardly surprising in view of their enormous numbers. Other cars with massive waddling bums and no rear-view mirrors are Jaguars in particular, especially on home counties A roads where they wallow smugly along at fifty-odd, in the outside lane if it's a dual carriageway, without ever thinking they may be in the way.

Actually though there's no standard badly driven car. Most of them are badly driven. Porsches don't often get in the way I notice, but they can.

I agree with Lud - it's usually BMW drivers that I observe as being the most selfish nowadays - They hold the traffic up by selfish manouvres up front causing others to brake with out need, park over 2 spaces in a car park to protect their precious lump of metal and also park in parent and child spaces in supermarket car parks when not carrying children. (I have to go and try and calm down now)

The odds alone against such a situation render it meaningless.
