ford ka knocking noise - terry
Hi

when I apply footbrake I get a single knock noise each time I apply it sounds as if it is coming from the front offside brakes? any ideas. I had the pads and discs changed about 5 months ago.

Would have thought this more likely to be a suspension problem. When you apply the brake more weight is going onto the front end. Are you sure its not just a worn bush or suspension arm?

Ka's are prone to lower suspension arm bush wear. Jack up each front wheel in turn, give the bottom of the wheel a tug and look/feel for play. From what I can remember, replacement arms are cheap and easy to fit.

its better to put a bar under the suspension bush and see if it lifts up in its sleeve and follow nick fields advise.
