Can anyone recommend a good one? I was looking at Warranty Works website - does anyone know anything about them?
Cheers,

Hmm,. I?ve been looking too.... for a number of years!
'good' and 'after market warranty' should not be put in the same sentence reading from experiences everywhere.
If you are concerned put £30 a month into a savings account, if you need the money on repairs use it, if not congratulate yourself on the money saved.
What car do you own, you may be able to minimize risks by ensuring the cars weak points are all ok.

Hi rip, was thinking of buying a rover 25 - thats why I wanted the warranty - I thought it might offer a bit of protection if the price of spares goes sky high. Don't know if it works like that...

Everyone's buying them because of that useless bloke on Radio 2 praised them to high heaven.

Your warranty wont manufacture new parts for you.

Parts wont be a problem - there are loads of 200's/25's and ZR's around and will be for quite some time yet. If you keep the car 15 years then you may struggle but that would go for any car thats knocking on 20!
I have a 200 which is effectively the same car and not had any problems obtaining parts for it in the last 12 months and there is now xpart and rimmer brothers that are increasing their parts database all of the time.
On top of that it will be reliable anyway so you shouldnt need too many!

Have you tried clicking on the Warranty direct link to the left of the page?

Buy a good reliable car in the first place and keep your 'warranty' money in the building society. Set up a 'car account' and save a regular amount each month over the year to cover repairs, tyres, exhausts etc. Not 100% guaranteed to work, but on the balance of probabilities its a better plan than buying a warranty.

Aprilia & rip - That is a very sensible suggestion, but I worry that it requires some sort of self control not to touch the money - which I don't have!
