Have installed cruise stalk, but not sure how to initiate the cruise control program using tech2. managed to find the programming option, tech2 seems to do all the right things and reports that cruise has been programmed. when we go back to check, it says that it isn't programmed after all... I know of someone with the same vehicle and similar build date who got his dealer to do it FOC, but i doubt i would be that lucky, anyways my local dealership is pretty vague about anything other than normal service routines!. It should just be plug and play (plus initiate software), so where am i going wrong with this one??

If it's a manual transmission, have you fitted a clutch pedal switch too?

yup, the clutch switch is already there and active. like i say, i know a few who have done this mod to the same vehicle, i.e. install cruise stalk and program - no probs. I always seem to have trouble with things that should be simple!

Sorry, I don't know anymore about it. As you might guess, Tech 1 is more my vintage!
I would like to know how this turns out for you, because I'm considering making this modification to our Astra; please report back when you get it sorted.

Although all the Sept 2000 -on petrol Astras are throttle by wire, not all of these Astras had the wiring back from the stalk to the ECU, but if you already have the clutch switch you should be in with a chance.
Pre Sept 2000 Astras have the "old-fashioned" cruise control with an electric motor and second throotle cable, when fitted as part of the "Technical Pack" which also included the trip computer.
