Mondeo rear centre seat belt problem - mikem
Can anyone help / advise? 2002 Mondeo hatch - the rear centre seat belt inertia reel seems to have jammed or otherwise failed in the 'not in use' position - in other words, I can't pull the belt out to use it. Is there a means of checking the mechanism without pulling the cloth covering off the back of the seat?

move the seat forward and then slam it shut really hard and this will free it off a common mondeo problem

It is not a problem at all!

Rather it is making sure the centre belt is not used when the near side seat back is not properly locked back.
