Barclays Insurance - daveyjp
Obviously looking to increase their client base and having seen their ad just called for quote. Original quote was £120 more than my renewal, now beat my renewal by £25 and I will get a cheque for £50 if I take the policy - so £75 saved. No one else is cheaper for me at the moment.

You get what you pay for. Cheap premium probably means cheap cover.

Ah yes, Barclays. They sent me another leaflet about their insurance in with my statement which arrived this morning. All looks great, nearly convinced me to pick up the phone too, until I read the small print......"must be over 25". Only Barclays would put ads for home and car insurance (for over 25s) in with a student account statement. I know, I know, everyone and their granny will have received one, regardless of their account type.

The last time I got a really cheap insurance quote, it was because the excess was massive, and lowing it pushed the quote sky high.

Well two weeks and two calls later and no written confirmation of the quote, so I've sacked them. If they can't do things right at this stage what chance should I ever need to make a claim? Frizzell for another year for me.
