I've just seen the 207, and is it my imagination or are car headlights becoming more and more oriental eye shaped?

Soon Peugeot (and indeed other) manufacturers will design headlights that go up the A-pillar and onto the roof...
Peugeot have always had interesting headlights, but the latest ones are, IMHO, over the top. Sigh, feel like I'm getting old.
Give me a little 104ZS any day!! Anyone remember the Peugette symmetrical design?

Headlights are going over the top(some-quite literally!),especially the huge glass/plastic lens area.I am sure the cost of replacement will go up as the size increases.

"more oriental eye shaped"
I'm sure the Duke of Edinburgh would agree with you! I must admit that the feature of most new Peugeots I notice first is that gaping 'fish-mouth' air intake. I think it's horrid.
Their problem, I surmise, is that the original 205 was just about perfect, and all subsequent 'improvement' has been the reverse.
HJ's review contains the arresting simile: "grips like a homophobe?s handshake", which I hadn't met (or thought about) before. Mind you, come to think of it...

Isn't this down to some Euro law about pedestrian safety ?

..or more like interpretation of it. To gain better pedestrian NCAP score Pug nowadays makes as much front panels out of plastic as they can possibly can. Not only Pugs looks horrid but are also very prone to damaging vital cooling in the smallest bumps.
