Can anyone suggest a suitable mastic product to stop a petrol leak?

The leak is from a petrol measuring device where two plastic pipes make a T joint that is covered by a rubber washer. Petrol is weeping past the rubber washer.

I seem to recall the blue Hylomar gel which you can buy in Halfords is suitable for use where there's petrol.

It would need to be perfectly dry before any substance would work ,with petrol it would be advisable to replace the offending parts.

There is a two part,probably epoxy,product specifically made for petrol applications.Cannot think of the name,ask at a motor factors.

Agree with replacing the failed parts, especially when it is only a washer. Never take any chances with petrol leaks or you car could turn into a Molotof cocktail. Blue Hylomar is a good jointing compound but not specifically for petrol leaks.

Rub the afected areas with a soft-ish bar of hand soap. Many years ago I sealed a leaking petrol tank this way and it stayed ok until I got a replacement
