Does anyone know how to get glued-on decals off cars and/or glas without doing damage? I think there is supposed to be something to dissolve the glue.

EIther hot air gun used gently or a hairdryer. Warming the sticker makes the glue dissolve & you can then gently peel it off. Don't go too mad with a hot air gun A. you can burn yourself & B. & more importantly damage the underlying paint.

As tr7v8 says but also after softening the glue a bit, get some tough string behind the badge and use a sawing action to gently cut through the glue.

If it is inside the heated back rear window it will need to be hot air and once the plastic layer is off (no sharp implements) careful use of WD40 in horizotal strokes to remove the sticky residue, followed by something like Autoglym Fast Glass over the whole area. It is worth removing rings & watches before you start.
