I know this site depends on ads and I am very grateful for it's existence but these pop-ups are getting out of hand. There is one that doesn't even have a cancellation button and sits right in front of the text of the post your trying to read. Can something be done please?

Its been covered many times - use firefox and the adblock plug-in.

If you mean the questionnaire one, there is a little close box top right of it...you got pop-up blockers?

My XP Pro SP2 PC with latest IE (6.0.2 IIRC) provides a great pop up blocker, I updated my laptop to SP2 last week and the same pop up blocker has appeared, on the 98SE machine I have an MSN toolbar which provides pop up blocking.
