Anyone know where the lights on warning buzzer is on a Lupo?
It's not working - it's not the light switch at fault (checked with new one). (The interior light is working - rumoured to work off of the same fuse).
Thanks

Not much help I know but on mind, the "lights on" warning is actually a relay. Might want to look there if it's the case with yours.

I had this problem with my Golf 4, I don't know if the layout is the same on the Lupo.
On the Golf the lights-on buzzer works when you pull the door handle to open the door, (this also activates the 'puddle light' at the bottom of the door, on the new Golf this has been replaced by a red reflector), it's NOT linked to the main interior light.
The wiring for the door light also goes through the electrics in the door lock (so if this lights not working then this could be a good pointer to the door lock). It's the contacts WITHIN the lock that sense when you have opened the door, and it these that are the weak link, they become dirty, oily & loose.
To cure the problem I had to get access to the lock, then clean it and check the contacts and wiring leading to the puddle light, then the lights-on buzzer worked.
I hope this helps.

Thanks guys - will post back if we get it sorted.
(RD: On investigation, my MkV Golf is the same - keep the door closed but pull the interior handle and the lights-on gong goes. It has no interior puddle-lights, as you say, but external ones in the door mirrors. Unfortuneatly, the Lupo is basic basic, so no such lights to give a clue...)
