Just went to move our car, its having all these gear selection problems, when i let the clutch pedal up an inch or so the gears could all be selected perfectly, pls help me.....is this a clutch problem or gearbox? Maybe the wrong cable was provided? the pedal is higher than its ever been, it is right against the bracket! H....E....L....P....

Have just taken the gearbox off, and when I removed the clutch I found two of the springs from the clutch plate were not where they should be. The plan now is to fit a new clutch and renew the gearbox oil, that'll mean the car has new clutch cable, new thrust bearing, new clutch and new 'box oil so lets hope it solves the problem!!! Mind you it's only taking me half hour to remove the gearbox now, always easier the 2nd and 3rd times!! Thx for your advice and wisdom...Dan n Sam
