These sensors are not el cheapo. You can buy a similar set on ebay for less than £25.00. I bought a set over a year ago and they cost £30.00 then and I can recommend having sensors. I have an estate car and it certainly makes parking in tight spots a lot easier.

I read frequently, but only post when I have something useful to say.

It's hard to tell on the Maplins site, as the picture just shows 4 black indescript blobs, but as said above £40 seems no bargain judging by the description.
I has a BREES on a few years ago, but it wasn't very good, it seemed to beep however it liked, and the beeps were tinny and annoying.

After a bump up the back (new bumper etc...), I now have an unbranded unit with pleasant chimes, and a display under the centre headrest, the display is backlit and changed colour like traffic lights as you get closer, but its too far away in the mirror to see the actual vehicle and cone legends on the LCD to be of any use.

I'm sure you'll find a nice one on ebay, there seems to be plenty of choice, even wireless ones to save you running a wire to your dashboard from the boot..

Bought mine on eBay and r ok. Bleeper doesn't like the cold though, which somewhat defeats the point - when your rear screen misted or frosted up is one time when you would most use them!

I find it is a good idea not to rush off and buy stuff from Maplins, a couple of weeks later it will be on promotion at half the price.

haha, very true. The annoying thing is there's no real specs or even a manufacturer's name so I could research some.
