VW Golf Mk IV 1.6 - Power Steering Fluid - Nay164
Can anyone recommend an alternative to VW's own brand of power steering fluid? Mine needs a top-up and I'm not sure which fluid is the correct one to use.

Suggest you go to a Ford dealer, ask for finis code 1116812. 1 litre can costs £7 ish and is VW spec power steering fluid for the Galaxy. (Same as for Mk 4 Golf).
