I have a 1998 110 Defender Td5. On cold mornings for the few first few minutes i get a horrible grinding noise when the clutch pedal is depressed, both when in and out of gear. The clutch has been replaced recently and has made no difference. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Did you replace the pressure plate and release bearing at the same time?

Was the spigot bearing checked/lubricated while the gearbox was out?

sounds like spigot bush in turning in the flywheel if you ask on here you will get more info www.lro.com/nav?page=lroi.message.list§ion=MES...D
dont know if it does any lasting damage to the flywheel or if it wears the outside of the bush, they would both be fairly hard wearing parts, had a td5 disco do the same thing ,its a known problem
