£10k for a 'delivery miles' Impreza - Aprilia
I noticed the Subaru dealer in Belfast (Donelly Subaru) advertising delivery miles Subaru Impreza 1.6TS for £9995.
It would be a bit underpowered for my taste, but could be an interesting alternative for someone considering a Focus/Astra etc etc Eurobox.

Hi,

www.donnellycars.com/advsearchresults.asp?ActionTy...1

How good is this deal? Its been registered on a Northern ireland Plate. Would iit cause any tax or regisrtation problems to get a 55 UK plate on it. Or would it be better just to stick a private plate on it?

Best regards

Barry

Trying to talk my wife around now!. Always fancied one, but running costs for bigger engine are too much.

No probs bringing it over (it is the UK after all).

Good cars, but a little basic for my taste after my all-singing Forester. Comfortable driving position and great balance on the road and with modest power and 4WD impossible (almost) to get it wrong.

i have just read an excellant review off the 1.6 and the only downside is that it will want plenty of stirring of the gearlever if you want to make the most of it.
As said bring it to this side of the water with the ni v5 and its easy to transfer to a mainland plate although the plate it gets given over there may just appeal after a few days looking at it.

Where was the review of the 1.6 oldman?

Good value though - you could pay 50% more and get a VW Bora 1.6...

Hi,

Off Topic but...

I found Delivery Mileage Bora 1.4's for £7999 at www.tradesales.co.uk. I have been tempted by these but I had a horrible Polo 1.9 SDI 2001 old shape that put me of Volkswagens for life. 80000 of pure hell. Now got a Fiesta 2004 1.4 Diesel up to 50k with no problems what so ever.

Will the Bora we anything like the Polo Saloon?

Still cannot get the wife to say yes.

Best regards

Baz

sorry i googled it but cant find it now, i always thought a 1600 boxer 4 wheel drive would be underpowered but what i read said it needed stirring but would be ok,i reckon for £10,000 if anyone fancies it they should take one for a good ten mile thrash ,that should tell you once and for all if its underpowered?
