Saw a (Presumably) new white van driving up the M5 this pm.
I was on cruise control at 78, he went past like I was standing still. Maybe 99?
Registration number "DEL M1LES"
How do they get away with it?
OK, OK, I know the answer.
Don't depress me further.

Well i know that come M.O.T time they have to change them in order to pass the test, how they get away with it on the road is yes... another thing.

Its not what you drive, its how you drive it! :-)

Are you sure it was a number plate? Looks like the advertising flash for a nearly new vehicle has been left in place. You will probably find he had trade plates lying on the top of the dashboard.
(ok, still illegal, and he will have avoided any cameras).

I think pmh is onto something here! DEL MILES isn't a corruption or fudge of any legal number plate that I can think of, even with very generous use of misplaced bolt heads etc.

White Transit, blatant disregard for the law...Hmmm wonder what breed of 'person' that is...

On my travels recently I have seen a growing disregard for number plates in general, for instance, I have seen an increasing number of cars with a blackish/silverish blob (not dirt) running thro the number. Also on 2 occassions on the Cardiff stretch of the M4, I have seen an American stretched limo with NO discernable number plate at all, who are these people ? Are they above the law ?
