I know it's a left hooker but these are often regarded as the best supercar in the real world, only 3 years old and 25K, all for not a huge amount more than a diesel BMW. Makes you think.

It would make me think that there is no mention of an extended warranty on the car. These cars were known for for engine leaks (google 996 rear main seal) and without a warranty would cost thousands to sort out.

LHD is considerably cheaper than RHD although the market is limited in the UK.
You can get a warranty on it up to 9 yrs from build by taking it to an OPC (Official Porsche Centre) & getting an inspection done, around £ 200 or free with a service. Then for £7-800 they'll put a cast iron OPC warranty on it. I don't do Porsches with the engine in the wrong end but not sure thats such a bargain. If you're really interested post something either on the Porsche section of Pistonheads or Porsche net1 @ www.porsche-1.net/

Jim, thanks for the tips. Unfortunatly I can't currently afford a car like that at my time of life although it's certainly something I aspire to. Of course if I were to get a windfall of some kind or be diagnosed with a life threatening illness and not have long to live then yeah, sell the house and go nuts. When did that endowment policy mature that I took out for my first house....
