My gf wants a Puma. I think they look nice, and they handle well too I hear. However, she's youngish and it appears that the 1.4 is the only realistic one to insure. They are very difficult to find... but my question is any advice/positive or negative feedback about Pumas?
Thanks in advance people.

What goes for a Fiesta goes for the Puma same car underneath.

Lovely little cars. I doubt she could go far wrong with one.

A Good friend of mine has the 1.7 and has had no problems with it, good car from other reviews I've read, nearly bought one myself. I Think it won What Car? Coupe of the year a while back.

chap on here called Mountainkat had one (puma = mountain cat. geddit?). Hopefully he'll drop by.
I take it that you've read the car by car breakdown? 1.4 was replaced by 1.6 late in it's life. Some issue with the 1.7 IIRC, but you're looking at 1.4's anyway.
Prices from memory (i was looking about 8 months ago), sellers seem to expect a high price for a R or S reg, so a little bit more money can get you a much newer car. What i'm trying to say is that the entry level prices seemed quite high for R and S regs, but sensible for X and Y regs.

Thanks for these, much appreciated!

Water drips from roof when you open door or boot. And I found getting in/out difficult due to low roof line.
Nice car otherwise. Watch for rust
