My SRS light is winking at me ~ every 5 secs. I know this is a warning, can anyone give me an idea as to what might be at fault.
Is the car save to drive until I get the fault rectfied?
Many thanks.

SRS stands for something like Supplementary Restraint System - E.g. - Airbags and seatbelt pretensioners...I think.
My first port of call would be checking under the seat to make sure any wires under there are properly seated in their connectors.
Someone will be around soon undoubtedly with more Rover specific advice (mine is general) but I *think* it's safe to drive as a fault disables the system.
I know there's an awful lot of "thinks" in there. Sorry.
Good luck,
Adam

Thank you all for your advice.
There are no wires under the seat pan, they are well hidden. However I did notice some connectors hanging free under the dash I could not find a home for them but in the course of removing the steering wheel trim the light went out and so far has stayed out.
So far so good.
Thanks.
