HELP-MY rover starts ok, but when i slow down or change gear it stalls, im not a mechanic so i need help in layman terms

ive put new air filter in, bled fuel line, done the brake peddle, and still she stalls,it is only stalling on short journys steve

Check the intercooler hose isn't split. Sometimes these can weaken and collapse under pressure even though you can't actually see it when the car is stationary.

Another thing to check is the boost pressure sensor which is situated on the bulkhead. There is a tube running to it from the turbo. For some reason the connector is upside down and can collect moisture leading to a deterioration of the connection. I've seen this on a few 200's and 400's fitted with the L Series engine. The connectors may well be a green colour due to the corrosion.

Apart from that, I can think of nothing else, so off to specialist with some diagnostics I'm afraid.

found out it was the sensor on the intercooler, plus a loose connector from the wires that run across the top of the head gasket. gave them all a clean put them back and it runs like a dream. so a big thank-you to all
