I am going to treat myself to a towball mounted 4 cycle carrier tomorrow (hopefully).

I have got my choice down to the following

The Thule one

or the Pendle one

I know the pictures don't show the 4 bikes but they do sell the 4 bike versions.

Does anyone have any experience of either of these that could recommend one against the other? I know the Thule is dearer but it folds up neater and can be stored in the boot, as well as tilting back to allow access to the boot. The Pendle doesn't do either of these but is £100 cheaper. I have read the previous threads on the subject, just wondering if anyone has any further info or experience on either?

I don't have either; I have a Hollywood 4-bike carrier that tilts for boot access. The first time you need to get in to the boot on a windy, rainy, freezing evening, you'll be glad you spent the extra £100.

Cheers for that Hawkeye. I remember you recommending the Hollywood from the last thread but I couldn't find any dealers nearby .

I bought the Thule this morning so hopefully first trip on it might be boxing day if Santa delivers the kids new bikes....

It was interesting to see Thule actually make a storage type box to fit on the cycle carrier if I ever needed all the space!
