Whenever I subscribe to the forums that use that layout, I turn all the silly avatars & sig blocks, etc off anyway via the settings menu.

OcUK has very clear and organised forum. Certainly more featured, easier to browse through. Strange you are confused by couple of static signature gifs but don't mind a narrow stripe entrenched by rows of blinking, flashing and randomly scripted adverts.

Highlights how nice it is to have an edit button on posts, no overbearing moderators and the ability to use emotion symbols.

as a new member on here i find it a refreshing change not to have emocons and flashing lights and i like the fact the moderators are keen and good .

Thank goodness for the absence of emoticons. Huzzah for the moderators. Hallelujah for an avatar-free site. It's just a shame about the signatures - this is a chat room, not a place for people to advertise their egos!
