Got an old 1.3 1995 Fiesta, it's been absolutely bomb-proof for the past 3 years I've had it. The biting point of the clutch though is getting towards the end of the pedal. Quick question, is it just a simple case of adjusting it, or are we talking new clutch? If so, how much to do it? May just be better off scrapping it if it's gonna cost more than err.... £50. :o)

scrap it is then

they have self adjuster on the pedal which can fail, or as long as you dont have clutch slip cable may have stretched?

you would hear quadrent slip if adjuster failed, these cables dont stretch they go stiff, sorry why does no one accept these days that things wear out.?
my engine is showing fault code 321 and its billowing smoke is it the throttle valve?
No your engine is worn out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i hear this once a week

Puzzled as to why you accept clutch is worn out, idea of the adjuster is to compensate, but as I said no mention of slipping clutch-otherwise would have agreed

It's done a pretty decent 99k so far, I can only assume it's still on it's original clutch. I'm tempted to flog it in favour of a nice mk4 fiesta !

Look underneath and check that there are teeth both sides of the pawl. As oldman says, I think you would feel the teeth slipping if the quadrant was worn out.
