1999 T - which series is this Alfa 156 please? anything to check to identify the series. Guessing probably S1 but maybe S2?

There was only a single facelift to the 156.It happened about 2/3 years ago.
A '99 would be a series 1

There were in fact two face lifts to the 156,quick way to check is the colour of the central control panel if its black its a s1 if its silver its a s2,s3 has a different front and dashboard.s1 upto 2000,s2,2000-2003 s3,2003>.S2 is a much better car than a s1 with many small improvements.
