Hi
Could someone point me in the right direction to find the address and telephone numbers for the highway departments of the local authority for Brighton and Hammersmith & Fulham (London)?
I would like to report some pot holes to them, and hopefully they will get repaired if they are reported,.
Thanks in advance
Greg

You can find contact details on the web usong the A-Z of concils at www.direct.gov.uk/Dl1/Directories/LocalCouncils/fs...n
Hammersmith have an on line reporting facility for pot hole reports.

Just to say that the system does work, at least in Herts. Every pot-hole I have reported has been repaired, usually within a day or two. Local authorities do depend to a large extent on reports from the public.

Then do a search on potholes. Phone them or fill in the form.

Just did a Google on Brighton Council Roads and cam up with this link.

Click on pavements and road repairs on right hand side. You can either fill in an online form or give them a ring.

Thanks for everyones help. I can now do my bit in making the roads and better place and report every pot hole I come across.
The council will love me!

dont forget to do the same for street lights,as the man with van checking them stopped years ago (apart from the motorways?)

They will. A fresh new pot hole does not cost much to repair. The longer its left the deeper and longer it gets, if left too long it starts to break up the road foundation. The longer its left the more expensive it gets to fix.
A lot of councils are very quick to fix potholes while they are easy to patch.
