Vauxhall outside temp sensor - bimmer-driver
Hello all. In a huge coincidence, I've just read the thread about outside air temp sensors on cars and gone out to my Corsa to find that mines gone haywire! I started it last night and it said it was 69 degrees centigrade, and started it this morning and all there is on the display is a line of dashes.
Someone at work has said it is a common fault and its only a 5 minute job to change the sensor so I've ordered a new one, but I want to know if it really is a five min job or am I best taking it to a garage?
(Its the newer model Corsa if that makes any difference)
Any help is appreciated.

If it's the same as vectra, it's a doddle. It'll be located somewhere on the front bumper -- more than likely just behind the numberplate. Unclip sencor from the bumper and disconect the plug & socket connection and replace with the new one.
