mondeo problem after new clutch? - Cass
Hi,

I've just had a new clutch and flywheel installed, when the garage tested this the slave cylinder exploded. this resulted in removing the gear box again and the car stuck in the garage for more days.

anyway they are having real trouble and have said they do not know whats happening or how to fix it. basicly everything seems to work fine in inital tests and inspection however when they try and bleed the cluch the engine locks up!

any ideas of suggestions for why this is happening or any ideas on how to resolve it?

Sounds like they could have got the clutch friction plate in the wrong way round or it's the wrong clutch for the vehicle.

MK3 mondeo is this? mine neededing replacing at 24k out of warranty!!

i wasn't pleased, as of course ford wouldn't contribute.

jennings ford did a good job and no problems even though it did take 2 days.

Thanks, yes it's the mark 3.

mines been in 10 days now (10 days total not 10 working days)

pink fluffy dice annoying, it's really causing them some real problems.
