Wife has decided now is the time to replace her Yaris. Question for the canny: is the alleged retail slowing in November/December a more significant factor in scatching the most from a deal, than deferring purchase to January when the new car will have a 2006 birthday? Car will be a new Jazz BTW. Views welcome.

Hmm,
We have had our Yaris since new when they came out - still looks like new (helped by me being a nut) don't get too hasty to change.
My wife doesn't want a new motor - too attached !
No problems with it at all !

I reckon if you put your order in tomorrow you'd be lucky to see a new Jazz before 2006 given its only 6 weeks away.
Honda don't hold big stocks of unsold Jazz in the UK and unless you're not fussed about colour and don't want any options you will probably have to wait for a factory order. Even buying now I don't think you'll get much of a discount - the Jazz sells itself and the dealers know it.

Good point about delivery: hadn't really thought of that! Can get a discount: it's whether the local dealers are willing to match it. Prefer to buy from local dealer, but may have to take it from the most competitive.
